Community Service

Community Service

Troop 192 has a rich history of service to our community.  Every year we take on several special project requests, Eagle Scout projects and have a few annual traditions of service projects. Scout uniforms can always be seen at the below events!

Central College Church Freedom Celebration

Each July, we assist members of our charter organization (Central College Presbyterian Church) in directing and managing parking lot traffic and visitor assistance for their annual Freedom Celebration.

Central College Church Food Pantry

Each Thanksgiving and Christmas, we assist members of our charter organization (Central College Presbyterian Church) in the assembly of hundreds of food baskets through their Food Pantry program. These baskets are then delivered to local families in need.  Due to the large turnout of scouts and their families, we are able to quickly set up the food, arrange the bags and efficiently prepare for the next stage of volunteers who fill and deliver the bags.

Westerville Area Resource Ministry (W.A.R.M.)

Each winter we spend an evening at the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (W.A.R.M.) office unloading and sorting hundreds of food items that volunteers use to feed those in need in our community.  Doing the heavy lifting quickly and neatly allows other W.A.R.M volunteers to focus on directly serving clients.
