Troop 7192

Scouts BSA Family Scouting Troop 7192, linked to Troop 192, will begin on Monday, April 1, 2019. at Central College Presbyterian Church, at 7p.  Room TBA. 

Girls (11-17) interested in adventure, camping, life skills, leadership skills, and service to others are encouraged to join!  First year campouts and activities include:  John Glenn Astronomy Park (Hocking Hills), Kayaking, Week-long Summer Camp at Seven Ranges (July 7-13), Pioneering at Camp Lazarus, a trip to Gettysburg (Pennsylvania), Puppetry at Pokagon State Park (IN), and Service Projects.  Girls also have the opportunity to achieve the prestigious EAGLE RANK.  

The Girl Troop 7192 will implement the same, or similar, structure, times/dates, and advancement procedures as Troop 192, with meetings at the same time as Troop 192, a shared Committee, and 5-7 shared campouts annually.   Seven Ranges Summer Camp has adapted a camping area for girls.

The Scoutmaster for 7192 will be Janice McDonald, who through Columbus Outdoor Pursuits and OSU Outdoor Education has over 13 weeks backpacking experience, ridden bicycle on the Cross Ohio Bicycle (400+ miles) Adventure twice, ridden bicycle on the Great Ohio Bike Adventure (300+ miles) 3 times, ridden across the panhandle of Florida, done caving, whitewater rafting, canoeing, and kayaking.  She has also camped in 46 states, most of Canada, and Western Europe.  She is a former teacher at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center (High School and Career Center) in Columbus.  Contact:
